Restaurants

In the village of Perkins which is only 10 minutes away there are a couple of ordinary restaurents There are a couple of newer restaurants about 25 minutes from us in St Pierre de Wakefield which I could direct you to, a nice country drive further north. One is a lovely qaint french restaurant called "Restaurant la Grenouillere" It is located on the 307 5.3 km past St-Pierre de Wakefield, turn right on Val du Lac, open 11 am to 2pm and 6pm to 10pm, Thursday to Sunday, call for reservations, (819) 457-4577

Because of our close proximity to Ottawa/Hull (20 to 30 minutes) it makes more sense to pick a special restaurant. There are also a few restaurants in Wakefield (30 min.) and Old Chelsea (20 min.). One other option is to have dinner before you arrive or you can go into the village grocery store (3 miles away) where you could purchase a roast chicken or get something from the deli counter or freezer department. In Quebec you can buy beer and wine in corner stores until 10pm.

Most require reservations.

Les Fougeres A very nice restaurant in Chelsea, 25 minutes from us.

Le pommier d’Argent is only 15 minutes away and is one of the most beautiful farms in the Gatineaus, with its sprawling lush greenery, bushes and flowers. It is a magnificent place where nature is in harmony with the art of refined and flavorful French cuisine.
